Ahead of the release of his Well Done Robbie EP next month, Robbie Stickland has shared 'Suffocated' – the first single from the upcoming project. The new single marks the Dublin artist's much-welcomed return following the release of his acclaimed debut album, Warm Jeans In The Morning.
Recorded in a city centre apartment with a half-functioning four-track tape machine, 'Suffocated' explores experiences that many sensitive and anxious people can relate to – being in total awe of the beauty around them, while also being overwhelmed by sensory information.
With his understated humour and DIY ethos, Stickland has earned comparisons to the likes of Mac DeMarco, Jonathan Richman and Kevin Morby. Under his previous moniker, Spongebob Eyelashes, the Dublin singer-songwriter previously supported the likes of Fontaines D.C. and Paddy Hanna.
