Millions of fans know him as a life-loving guy, trained and healthy, but in reality Robbie Williams has serious health problems. He suffers from eating disorders and depression.
The 43-year-old singer believes his music career will end up killing him - unless he drastically alters his outlook.
Speaking to The Sunday Times magazine, Williams said "I don't know if I'd be this mentally ill without fame. I don't think it would be as gross or as powerful if it hadn't have been for fame. You get a magnifying glass in the shape of the world's attention and your defects will obviously magnify too."
"Depression sprints through my family," added the 17-time Brit Award winner.
Williams credits his actress wife Ayda for helping him with his mental problem and believes she helps to keep him buoyant.
''She has the smarts to know how to not sink the ship, and I just want to sink the ship to see what it looks like.''
Williams’ most recent album was released in November 2016, entitled The Heavy Entertainment Show. The album marks Williams’ record-breaking 12th bestseller in the UK. In support of the album, Williams is doing The Heavy Entertainment Show Tour which started in June 02 and will finish on September 16, 2017.
