Robbie Williams Opens Up About Needing Meds To Battle Inner Demons
Ex-Take That star Robbie Williams has bravely admitted that he started taking anti-depressants this year after a “weird summer”.
The 42-year-old singer - who has had a well-documented battle with drugs and depression - revealed that his “demons are quiet” since he was prescribed a medication called Brintellix, which works by increasing the levels of the feelgood chemical serotonin in the brain.
“I had a really weird summer. Just couldn’t connect with anybody, apart from my wife," he says in the new edition of Radio Times.
"I didn’t know how to talk to anybody, even people who are with me every day. I was isolated, in my head. It was troublesome and sad. Then I tried this anti-depressant and things have changed. The demons are quiet.”
