He's set to make another worthy addition to an increasingly impressive back catalogue.
Belfast alt-folk artist Robyn G Shiels is keeping busy in the build-up to his first release in four years in the shape of a new EP titled Death of the Shadows. Having just returned from a three week European tour with Dave Hause & The Mermaid and Deadheavens, he's also dropped a brand new music video from the lead single off the EP in 'An Offering As Such'.
Death of the Shadows is a five-track offering that is the follow-up to Shiels’ NI Music Prize-winning album The Blood of the Innocents, and is set to drop tomorrow - November 30th - via his own Black Tragick Records label. He'll also be formally launching the EP tonight with a show in Belfast at The Strand Arts Centre, with support coming from fellow Black Tragick stablemates in Oisin O'Scolai & The Virginia Slims. Tickets are still available now via Ticketmaster if you move fast.
Meanwhile, you can check out the video for 'An Offering As Such' below. Shot by Tristan Crowe in rural Northern Ireland, the video features various religious signage and gives an eerie inkling of what to expect on Death of the Shadows.
