Stewart last headlined Glastonbury in 2002, closing out the festival on the Sunday night.
Rod Stewart will follow in the footsteps of Lionel Richie and Dolly Parton – as he is set to play the Glastonbury 'legends' headliner spot for 2025.
The announcement comes after Stewart revealed he will not be playing any more “large-scale” world tours in the future. The singer who will turn 80 in January shared to Instagram, "This will be the end of large-scale world tours for me, but I have no desire to retire".
The star is clearly not slowing down anytime soon, having released the album Swing Fever with Jools Holland earlier this year.
