Roddy Ricch nods to Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ in his new video.
Roddy Ricch dropped his new single ‘Late At Night’ along with its video today, June 4th.
The slow jam is the rapper’s first solo track of 2021. ‘Late At Night’ is a moody love song about the preliminary stages of a relationship, where Roddy Ricch is conflicted about commitment.
The video features Roddy Ricch riding on an inter-dimensional ferris wheel, a romance at an 80’s style party and a terrifying prosthetic mask resemblant of Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ costume.
The video was directed by Julian Christian Lutz and features Karrueche Tran as Ricch’s love interest. The idea was conceived by the rapper, who also acted as co-director.
It’s been a busy year for the singer, who released ‘4 Da Gang’ with 42 Dugg in April, featured with Lil Wayne on Birdman’s single ‘Stunnaman’ in May, and appeared on DJ Khaled’s ‘BODY IN MOTION’ alongside Lil Baby and Bryson Tiller.

Roddy Ricch shot to international acclaim with his massively successful debut album Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial in 2019, and spent much of 2020 working on the follow up to his debut – which has not yet been announced.
