Irish-Palestinian singer-songwriter and music film director Róisín El Cherif has announced a headline show at the Button Factory, Dublin, on Wednesday, April 30.
The performance will recreate her sold-out Fringe Festival show last year, combining her original music with Arabic and film projections. The set will feature a mix of folk, tribal, and electronic influences.
Based in Galway, Róisín has directed projects such as the Abbey Theatre’s 2022 short film We Met on a Dance Floor, written by Inua Ellams. As a musician, she has released singles including 'Half a Life' and 'Glass House'.
She has recently performed at high-profile events such as the Irish Arts for Palestine concert at the Olympia Theatre and at Gig for Gaza at the 3Arena, where she appeared alongside Lankum, The Mary Wallopers, and Lisa O’Neill.
