Róisín Murphy to collect Outstanding Contribution to Music gong at AIM Awards + Album Preview
The Longitude-born star will receive the coveted award in September
Róisín Murphy has been announced as the recipient of the Outstanding Contribution to Music at this year's AIM Independent Music Awards.
The Wicklow-born musician, who stars in the forthcoming issue of Hot Press, is bound for Longitude later this month as she unleashes her outstanding Take Her Up To Monto LP – the follow-up to the Mercury-nominated Hairless Toys –, but she'll be donning the gladrags to pick up the coveted gong in September.
The awards, organised by the Association of Independent Music – and, predictably enough, celebrating the achievements in said field – have previously honoured the likes of Billy Bragg, Bjork, Skepta and Richie Hawtin.
