Out on 19 April via Polydor, ‘Honk’ will feature some of the biggest hits and classic cuts from every one of the rock icons' studio albums.
Honk, The Rolling Stones' gigantic new "best-of" compilation, will bring together 36 of their essential tracks, on top of unheard live recordings and unique collaborations. Eight of their singles to reach Top-10 on the charts are featured, including ‘Brown Sugar’, ‘Tumbling Dice’, ‘Angie’, ‘It’s Only Rock’n’Roll (But I Like It)’, and ‘Fool To Cry’.
Bringing the band’s story up to date, Honk also contains 2012 single ‘Doom & Gloom’, as well as ‘Just Your Fool’, ‘Ride ‘Em On Down’ and ‘Hate To See You Go’ from the band’s 2016’s Grammy Award-winning album Blue & Lonesome.
Additionally, Honk highlights some of the Stones' most essential album cuts such as 'Bitch' (Sticky Fingers, 1971), 'Rocks Off' (Exile On Main Street, 1972), 'Dancing With Mr. D', (Goats Head Soup, 1973) and 'Respectable' (Some Girls, 1978),
The bonus disc of the deluxe 3xCD edition includes 10 live tracks recorded at packed stadiums around the world during the some of the band’s more recent tours. These tours were powerful reminders of the Stones’ formidable gift for performance, as the band treated audiences to hits and deep cuts drawn from the full span of their illustrious career.
The live tracks feature some of the band’s greatest collaborations of recent years: ‘Dead Flowers’ recorded in Philadelphia in June 2013 with Americana star Braid Paisley, ‘Bitch’ with Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl during the 50 And Counting tour, as well as an electrifying version of ‘Wild Horses’, featuring Florence Welch, from the band’s show in London last May.
