Check out the up-and-coming Dubliner's inaugural full-length below
Dublin’s Ronan Group have shared their debut album I Don’t Want To Go Anywhere.
Describing themselves as “sharp casual”, their tunes revel in pointed hooks and irreverent charm – ebbing in and out of unsuspecting grooves.
Influenced by over seventy years of rock music, the band’s sound is comfortingly familiar yet refreshingly new at the same time. The group was birthed from the rubble of Angular Hank, a much-loved outfit which split following the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Fronted by founder and chief songwriter Ronan Boland, the group recorded I Don’t Want To Go Anywhere at Dublin’s Sonic Studios, with mixing and engineering by Gilla Band’s Daniel Fox.
The project consists of 8 tracks, with all instruments being played live, offering an immersive, jam-oriented feel.
Songs like ‘The Country’ and ‘Yin Fizz’ glimmer with math rock sensibilities, while tracks such as ‘Elf’ sink into the warm sound of jazz-infused sax solos and lush harmonies.
Growing up in Inchicore, Boland self-taught himself to play guitar. His hobby soon became an obsession, upgrading his status from bedroom cover act to burgeoning songwriter in a matter of years.
Ronan Group’s sound sits comfortably within a diverse range of genres, like midwest emo, 90's alternative rock and the lo-fi sounds of DIY bands.
