Over the last few months, Belfast singer-songwriter Rory Nellis has been drip-feeding singles from his forthcoming second album, There Are Enough Songs In The World. From the wonderfully earworming 'Born For Rainy Weather' and the exquisite ‘Casual Discrimination’ to 'Crossed Out' and last month's 'Not Allowed to Be Broken', Nellis' finely-crafted output has traversed folk-pop balladry, straight-up indie rock and intimate chamber-pop tales.
The penultimate single from the album - which is set for release at Belfast's The MAC, next Saturday, November 11 - 'On My Shoulder' is a sublime, lyrically candid account of love, laughter and companionship featuring Nellis on guitar and vocals, producer and musician Phil d'Alton on piano and vocals, Herb Magee (of LaFaro, GOONS and Arvo Party) and Peter J. McCauley on drums and vocals.
