GAFF's style of music lives in the cracks between indie, pop, trap, alternative and hip-hop; amassing over two million Spotify streams thus far.
Over the last number of years, emerging Irish talent GAFF has been fine-tuning his craft and honing his sound, with new single 'Friday On A Tuesday' showing off the impressive results of his hard work.
Despite only releasing three tracks in 2020 - 'ALL DAY', 'How It Goes' and 'Last Night!' - GAFF's artistic vision is being brought to life before our eyes, channeling his youthful and rebellious energy.
'Friday On A Tuesday' is GAFF's first release of 2021, and features his uniquely high-powered form of hip-hop drum production, juxtaposed by light guitar chords. With baritone vocals earning him consistent comparisons to the likes of Dominic Fike, Dreamer Boy, Thomas Headon and Oscar Welsh.
"I was really just having fun with this one and trying to create something without boundaries," GAFF tells Hot Press of the track's origins.
"I think this song represents me venting to myself, but it's also just an anthem for doing whatever you want. I remember making the beat and going for a cycle to the woods and just playing it so loud - the rest was history. Days seem to blend into each other in quarantine, and it's really easy to get down or depressed about it all. But maybe thinking about Tuesday as having the energy of a Friday could bring some spark back. Plus, the lads andI have been drinking whenever anyways so Tuesday really does feel like a Friday sometimes!"

"2021 plans: keep creating art and dropping the best EP of the year this summer. 'Friday on a Tuesday' will be the last single before the EP rollout which is definitely going to highlight some of my best work over the last few years and a bunch of unreleased music. Much more elevated stuff"
With an EP due out later this year, Gaff's new single will certainly keep his fans occupied in the meantime.
