The 18th annual RTÉ Choice Music Prize will once again celebrate the best in Irish recorded music.
Fontaines D.C, Dermot Kennedy, Cian Ducrot, CMAT, Biig Piig and five more talents have been nominated for Irish Song of the Year 2022 for hits like 'I Love You', 'Something To Someone', 'All For You', 'Nashville' and 'Kerosene'.
Cian Ducrot, Lea Heart, Moncrieff, Ye Vagabonds, SELLÓ and Walshy also made the list for 'All For You', 'Happier', 'Warm', 'Blue is the Eye', 'NO LOVE' and 'All Day (feat Nonô)' respectively.
The year continues to prove a massive one for musicians both commercially and critically, with Fontaines D.C releasing their high anticipated album Skinty Fia, Selló making a brilliant debut with his album Sellótape, and CMAT sharing her Irish No.1 debut album If My Wife New I'd Be Dead.
RTE announced the nominees earlier at 3pm today, exciting the fans with the nominations of their favourite artists.

Other categories such as Irish Artists of The Year and Breakout Artist of Year were announced previously this week including familiar names like Fontaines D.C, Demot Kennedy, CMAT, Cian Ducrot and etc.
The winner will be announced at the live event in Vicar St on RTE 2FM Thursday March 9th 7-11 pm along with special performances form some of the album-shortlisted acts. Tickets can be found here.
