After a stellar set at All Together Now, the RTÉ Concert Orchestra will take their Leonard Cohen show to the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre next March.
Following the spectacular performance at this year’s All Together Now, The RTÉ Concert Orchestra has today announced they will bring the songs of Leonard Cohen live show to Dublin’s Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, 4 and 5 March 2020.
The RTÉ Concert Orchestra is a world-class ensemble that serves its audience, symbolising the diverse eclectic mix of multi-genre orchestral entertainment. Since 1948, the orchestra has taken part in a diverse catalogue of performances including momentous, goosebump-inducing occasions.
Voted the World's Favourite Orchestra in 2015, RTÉ CO has performed with artists including Sinéad O'Connor, Imelda May, Declan O'Rourke, Pavarotti, Lang Lang, Lalo Schifrin, Marvin Hamlisch and Cleo Laine.
"The larger share of credit is due to the men and women of the orchestra for the arrangements and the playing," wrote Hot Press's Pat Carty of their performance at All Together Now this summer. "This was a magical – and profoundly moving – performance. Leonard Cohen – and John Reynolds – are smiling. In the Tower Of Song."
Live at Bord Gáis Energy Theatre is set to be just as brilliant, as the RTÉ CO performs the beautiful music of Leonard Cohen, with some special guests joining them.
