The Dubliner has two songs on the boys' soon-to-be-released album, Four.
Hot Press’ old pal Ruth-Anne Cunningham has co-written two tracks, ‘Where Do Broken Hearts Go’ and ‘No Control’, for the new One Direction album, Four, which drops here on November 14.
The former Billie Barry kid got her first break when as a 17-year-old she won the 2004 2fm Jacobs Song Contest - one of the judges that night in Vicar St. being our man Stuart Clark.
Now a seasoned 28-year-old veteran, her songwriting CV includes JoJo, TLC, Avicii, Pixie Lott, Westlife, Leona Lewis, Sugababes, Tinchy Stryder, Alexandra Burke and Britney Spears whose recent ‘Work Bitch’ chart-topper she co-authored.
A fine singer in her own right, Ruth-Anne was the featured vocalist on Professor Green’s 2012 biggie, ‘Remedy’, and features under the Rootsy alias on ‘Missing You’, the new single from superstar French DJ and Lana Del Rey associate Cedric Gervais.
