This is the second single from the album which is set to arrive on May 6th 2022.
Ryan Sheridan has dropped his new single ‘Drinkin’ Alone’ and announced the release date for his forthcoming covers album Americana.
‘Drinkin’ Alone’ is a highly energetic rockabilly-tinged song that features Sheridan’s dynamic guitar-playing. The song explores healing from heartbreak by cutting loose.
“‘Drinkin’ Alone’ was such a great track to record,” said Ryan about the track. “It’s a fun, upbeat, let-it-all-loose kinda song. Yes, it’s a wry look at a broken heart, but ‘Drinkin’ Alone’ is about being able to let loose when you're down, to get it out of your system, and enjoy the music while you’re doing it.”
This is the second single from Sheridan’s upcoming record Americana after ‘Parachute.’ The Monaghan man’s third album — following his 2011 debut The Day You Live Forever and 2015’s Here and Now — will arrive on May 6th, 2022.
On the new LP, Sheridan “explores a contemporary Americana songbook, rooted in folk, blues and country music.” The singer took lockdown as an opportunity to rediscover his love for American music.
“I’ve experienced many styles of music while touring the US over the years. I felt lockdown was the ideal time to put this album together and I have truly enjoyed the experience of producing it. It has been cathartic to be back making albums and releasing singles and I'm excited to see what the future brings,” he said.

“From broken hearts to broken strings, ‘Americana’ is a collection of truly great tracks with my own stamp on them!”
