"I spent Lockdown searching for the roots of my sound in other tracks, and when I discovered ‘Parachute’ I just knew I had to record it", Sheridan says.
Fresh from announcing tour dates in Germany recently, Ryan Sheridan has released a brand new song, 'Parachute'.
The Monaghan singer behind hits such as 'Jigsaw' and 'The Dreamer', says that the new track is taken from his upcoming new album due for release in early 2022.
"I spent Lockdown searching for the roots of my sound in other tracks, and when I discovered ‘Parachute’ I just knew I had to record it", Sheridan says.
"It just worked so seamlessly that it’s led to the birth of a passion project for me, with a new Americana sound, and I can’t wait to share it with you."
The news comes on the back of the announcement that Sheridan will play the New Year's Eve Countdown Concert in Dublin on December 31 headlined by Picture This and Lyra.
He'll be playing in support of this new song alongside his other 2021 single, 'Fine Wine', released in August.

That number also contained hints of Sheridan's new sound, showcasing the americana influence on his recent work.
"This is the 10th year of the New Year’s Festival Dublin," Alison Gilliland, Lord Mayor of Dublin, said of the NYE concert. "It gets bigger and better every time and we hope this year will be no different. There really is something for everyone this New Year’s, so come on into town and bring the family. As we leave behind 2021 there is real optimism now that hopefully we can all look forward to a better year ahead. After a pretty quiet New Year’s last year, let’s ring in 2022 in style!"
