The gig will also celebrate the vinyl album launch of their latest record Wake Up People!
Sack have unveiled an upcoming gig at Whelan’s for 8th February 2025.
Tickets go on sale this Thursday, 19th December, at 10am via Singular Artists.
The concert will also celebrate the vinyl launch of their album Wake Up People! and the release of their latest single ‘Tides Out’. They will have their gull range of Vinyl, CD & wearable merch on sale at the show.
Rumour has it that it will also be one of the band member’s birthday, and, yes, there will be cake.
Sack released their debut album, You Are What You Eat, in 1994, via UK indie label Lemon Records. Their second LP, Butterfly Effect, followed in 1997 – produced by heavyweights Paul Tipler and Jacknife Lee. They found a fan in Morrissey, who invited the band to open for him on his major Oye Esteban Tour in 1999.

Adventura Majestica was released in 2001 through Sack's own Jetset Junta label – and was the band's last official release until August 2021, when they returned with the single 'What A Way To Live'.
The new album Wake Up People! marks Sack’s first full-length release of original material since Adventura Majestica. Recorded at Dublin’s Sonic Studios with John Murphy (Lankum, Junior Brother) and Ber Quinn, the record brings fresh energy to the band with new members Gavin Fox (Idlewild, Turn) and Tony Barrett (The Brilliant Trees) joining original members Martin McCann, John Brereton, and Tony Brereton.
Speaking about the album in September, the band said: "Musically it retains our gift for melody while broadening the sonic palette and Martin McCann has never sung better.
“Lyrically the album deals with hot topics such as homelessness, bullying and the spread of misinformation and its consequences but the one overarching theme would be the need for us as a society to question everything before making informed decisions."
