A remix of 'Dynamite' is set to arrive this Friday.
Almost two years after the release of their latest album, the NI Music Prize-winning Where I Should End, Saint Sister have announced that they'll be releasing a series of remixes of tracks from the project – kicking off this Friday.
The first song to get to get the remix treatment will apparently be 'Dynamite', which the pair, made up of Morgan MacIntyre and Gemma Doherty, teased online with an emoji.
"Our youngest bb Where I Should End is nearly 2 years old," the duo wrote on Instagram. "It’s been a hell of a ride and we wanna send it off with a few cracking remixes – first one out this Friday. It’s by an artist we’ve admired from afar for a long long time. So excited to share it with ya..."
Where I Should End was met with rave reviews upon its release in June 2021. As well as winning Best Album at the 2021 NI Music Prize, the LP scored a nomination for the Choice Music Prize for Irish Album of the Year.
“When I look at this album, I see what Gemma and I built together but also what we went through together – the highs and lows," Morgan told Hot Press, around the time of the release. "I see how dependent you can be on somebody, and how you can define yourself in relation to somebody else. It’s also about the uncertainty over whether something has a final stop or if it’s part of a wider loop.”
