The Choice Prize-nominated duo have returned with a beautiful new single and a string of Irish gigs for the autumn time.
Saint Sister - made up of Morgan McIntyre and Gemma Doherty - released their critically acclaimed debut album, Shape of Silence, in October 2018.
Having first formed in 2014, the album embodied five years of songwriting, and their forging of a unique atmos-folk sound.
We haven't had long to wait for new music from the duo. They released their first single since the release of the album on May 15.
'Is It Too Early? (Kilmainham)' is an ode to home, and comes dripping with sentiment for a specific time and place, with affecting turns of phrases. Considering that Saint Sister have been touring nonstop throughout the last few months - with Hozier, by themselves, and now with Henry Jamison - makes sense that they'd pen something for home.
Writing about the song, Saint Sister said on Twitter: "The writing of it helped us centre ourselves while we were away from home and the recording of it with @diffusionlabel was so enjoyable. For a hundred reasons this one means a lot. Hope you like it."
