“There may be another chapter yet, whatever and whenever that might be,” the duo said of their break on Instagram.
Saint Sister, Morgan MacIntyre and Gemma Doherty, have announced that 50% of all merch sold on their webstore this week will go towards food parcel delivery in Palestine.
The organisers of the food parcel delivery are ACLAÍ, the Irish-Palestinian sports club in Bethlehem’s Aida Refugee Camp. This campaign is a follow on from the Ride for Gaza which was a round-Ireland cycle that happened in May/ June 2024 to raise money for food parcels for Gaza during the ongoing Israeli onslaught, which has been deemed a “genocide” by United Nations agencies and human rights organisations such Amnesty International.
In an Instagram post, the folk duo remarked on the merch sales donation, saying: “We have some merch left from the first two records, and our webstore is live again for the first time in a while. We’ll be donating 50% of profits this week to @aclai_palestine Food Parcels for Gaza. An order will be shipped out on Wednesday December 18th”.

The duo also announced that they will be taking a break from performing and recording together as they focus on their solo careers.

In the same Instagram post, they stated: “ We’ve been exploring different sounds and worlds, and we are each making music of our own at @morganaspartyhits and @gemma_doherty_
“Your support over the last decade (!!) means the absolute world to us. Everyone who came to a show, bought a record, booked a gig and everything in between, thank you for being a part of this weird and wonderful journey so far. There may be another chapter yet, whatever and whenever that might be”.
