Irish artist Samantha Mumba is set to release a new album this summer, on top of taking on the role of Teen Angel in Grease the Musical at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre this September.
Samantha Mumba made her mark on the Irish music scene all the way back in 2000 when, at the age of just 16, she released her single 'Gotta Tell You'.
Her debut album - which was also shared the same name - catapulted Samantha to international stardom, selling over 5 million copies, reaching #1 on the UK and US charts. In the UK alone, the album sold over 1.8m copies, which led to it being certified 6x platinum, making it one of the biggest selling albums of the 21st century in the United Kingdom.
Now 36-years-old, the star is currently based in Los Angeles, where she lives with her husband Torray Scales and their four-year-old daughter Sage. Despite this, she still works in Ireland and the UK. It has also been announced that Samantha will have a cameo role in a brand new production of Grease the Musical.
Samamtha is also getting set to release her new album, which will be out this summer. She worked with British singer and producer MNEK on the album.
