The rapper and his mother could face decades in prison for defrauding businesses of over $1 million (€924,000).
Jamaican-American rapper Sean Kingston and his mother have been found guilty of wire fraud in a federal trial on Friday.
Kingston, real name Kisean Anderson, and his mother, Janice Turner, were accused of defrauding a jewellery business, a luxury bed company, an exotic car dealership and a high-end TV company of more than $1 million (€924,000).
Following over three hours of deliberation, the jury found the two guilty of one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and four counts of wire fraud.
Kingston was placed under house arrest, while Turner was taken into federal custody.
The mother and son will be sentenced on July 11, where they face up to 20 years in prison for each of their five charges.

Kingston and Turner were arrested in May last year, following a lawsuit against the musician alleging non-payment for goods. The pair were criminally indicted in July.
The rapper was accused of using his celebrity status to receive goods in advance of payment and falsifying wire transfer documentation as proof of payment. Turner admitted during the trail to helping her son create these false documents.
Kingston is best known for his 2007 hit song 'Beautiful Girls', which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. He has collaborated with artists such as Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown.
