British musician and songwriter Self Esteem (Rebecca Lucy Taylor) has announced a UK and Irish tour for autumn 2025, including a stop at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre on September 24.
The tour comes ahead of her third studio album A Complicated Woman, set for release on April 25. It also coincides with the release of her latest single, 'If Not Now, It’s Soon', out today at 6 p.m. The track is the third to be lifted from the new record.
A Complicated Woman features a range of collaborations with mostly female voices, including Nadine Shah, Moonchild Sanelly, and Sue Tompkins from Life Without Buildings.
The new single draws on Taylor’s years before her rise to fame, exploring themes of hypersexuality, alcohol, and self-destruction. “Personally, you have to wait and one day you’ll get somewhere less painful,” Taylor says. “But the world will hopefully get somewhere less painful too. It’s about hope, perseverance and patience.”
The album follows 2021’s Prioritise Pleasure, which received widespread acclaim and earned BRIT and Mercury Prize nominations.
Before launching her solo career as Self Esteem, Taylor spent a decade as one half of indie duo Slow Club. She released her debut solo album, Compliments Please, in 2019, featuring fan favourites like 'The Best' and 'Girl Crush'.
