The track’s accompanying music video is directed by Piers Dennis.
Self Esteem has unveiled her new single ‘Big Man’, in collaboration with South African musician Moonchild Sanelly.
The track marks the singer-songwriter’s first music video release since her BRIT and Mercury Prize-nominated 2021 album Prioritise Pleasure.
The release follows a collaboration with Becky Hill on the track ‘True Colours’ last month. Next week, Self Esteem will also be a special guest at Young Fathers’ outdoor hometown show in Stirling City Park, alongside Noname and Petite Noir.
With a music video directed by Piers Dennis, best known for his visual effects work on films such as The Out-Laws and Blindspotting, ‘Big Man’ opens with a nod to Queen’s iconic ‘I Want To Break Free’ visual, and explores the nuances of modern masculinity and gender roles.
