Lizzo has been accused of sexual harassment by three of her tour dancers. A lawsuit filed in L.A on Tuesday has also accused the singer of creating a hostile working environment through racial and religious harassment between 2021 and 2023.
The dancers have claimed that Lizzo berated a performer for gaining weight, and then subsequently fired the same individual for recording a meeting.
According to NBC News, the lawsuit also makes several other claims against Lizzo, stating that she pressured one dancer to touch a nude at a club in Amsterdam and forced several dancers to undertake a 12-hour audition after making false accusations that they had been drinking while working.
The suit claims that Shirlene Quiqley, Lizzo’s dance captain, forced her Christian beliefs on other dancers, slating those who had taken part in premarital sex. Quigley has also been accused of simulating oral sex, oversharing her sexual fantasies and openly discussing one dancer’s virginity.

“The stunning nature of how Lizzo and her management team treated their performers seems to go against everything Lizzo stands for publicly, while privately she weight-shames her dancers and demeans them in ways that are not only illegal but absolutely demoralizing,” said Ron Zambrano, legal representative for the accusers, in a statement.
Representatives for Lizzo are yet to comment.
Lizzo has spent most of 2023 on tour in North America, Europe, and Asia. She recently finished up the Australian leg of her tour last month.
She played in Dublin's 3 Arena last march, describing the capital as "one of the most energetic, giving cities we’ve been to on the entire tour."
