‘Time’ stands as the opening track on SG Lewis's highly-anticipated debut album - set to land on February 19th, 2021.
Funky electronic artist and producer SG Lewis has teamed up with Canadian artist Rhye on his new single, 'Time', which follows his recent track 'Feed the Fire' featuring Lucky Daye.
The producer's new album times is scheduled to arrive next year, with Lewis building up an impressive list of collaborators and solo work since 2019's EP Dawn.
The latest single features Canadian vocalist Rhye, and it was prompted by a heart-to-heart on the American West Coast.
The song was written while "watching the sun set in Topanga canyon" and is "central to the album thematically and sonically", according to Lewis.
"Rhye has one of the most unique and distinctive voices out there, and I’ve been a fan for so long," the Londoner said.
"The beat initially started from a piano loop and a Dennis Edwards sample TEED had started working on with Julian, which I then turned into the instrumental late one night in Nashville.”

Rhye adds that he first met the disco-influenced producer and artist at his studio.
“Sam (Samuel George Lewis) and I first met when he came over to my studio to work on the track. He has such great personal energy and a zest for life that it felt natural to work off of that and imbue it into what we were making. I think you can hear the fun in this one.”
Lewis has numerous high-profile fans from his collaborations, including the likes of Clairo, Col3Trane, Dave, Raye, Ray BLK and Dua Lipa - whom he worked with on her hit dance track 'Hallucinate' from Lipa's hit sophomore album Future Nostalgia.
