“This has been an exciting project to be involved in. Shanley’s has always been a live music house, producing these shows to share our music in a new way has led to great collaborations over the series and allows people to experience some of the magic of the venue,” said Shanley who will also perform with his band as part of the series.
Shanley’s has a rich music history as local acts and international stars have played the venue over the last 40 years. The pub has played a “key role in the thriving music scene in Clonakilty since the late 1970’s.”
‘The Shanley Session’ have been funded by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media as part of the Live Performance Support Scheme. More information on the series is available on Shanley’s Facebook page.
