Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory have announced a show in Dublin’s National Museum of Ireland show for August 21, as part of the Wider Than Picture series 2025.
They will perform tracks from Van Etten’s catalog with the band as well as songs from their upcoming self-titled album, set for release on February 7, 2025.
The gig will follow their 2025 UK and Europe tour, which kicks off in Oslo on February 28 and wraps up in Glasgow on March 12, with stops in Berlin, Paris and London, among others.
Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory is the first piece that Van Etten wrote and recorded in total collaboration with her band, namely Jorge Balbi on drums and machines, Debra Hoff on bass and vocals, and Teeny Lieberson on synth, piano, guitar and vocals.

Reflecting on the new artistic frame of mind offered by this collaboration, Van Etten muses, “Sometimes it's exciting, sometimes it's scary, sometimes you feel stuck. It's like every day feels a little different – just being at peace with whatever you're feeling and whoever you are and how you relate to people in that moment.
“If I can just keep a sense of openness while knowing that my feelings change every day, that is all I can do right now. That and try to be the best person I can be while letting other people be who they are and not taking it personally and just being. I'm not there, but I'm trying to be there every day.”
Sharon Van Etten plus special guests will play the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks, Dublin on Thursday, 21 August. Tickets sell from €52.35 starting this Friday, December 13.
