Tickets for the acclaimed singer-songwriter's upcoming gig at Peadar Browns are on sale now.
Following a string of original singles and lauded live appearances at events like the 2023 Smithfield Fleadh, singer-songwriter Sharyn Ward has finally announced her own headline show – taking place at Peadar Browns in Dublin 8 on Friday, February 9.
In recent years, Sharyn's releases have explored various aspects of Irish Traveller life and culture.
'Feeling Free' celebrated the deep bond between a man and his horse, while 'Where Do All The Travelling People Go?' touched on the mental health struggles and discrimination faced by Travellers, as well as Sharyn's own journey through grief. Her 2023 single 'This Auld Camp Here' is a celebration of tradition and heritage – and, as she explains herself, is "about how we wouldn't take all the money in the world for the auld camp we live in..."
She has previously spoken to Hot Press about her unique journey through music.

"I am a positive person, and I’m really grateful for all the good people who are helping me on my journey," she remarked. "I hope that seeing me, as a Traveller woman, will be good for the women in my community. We have very talented female singers, who just don’t feel like there’s a point in even trying. Maybe if they see me getting further in the music industry, it will build up their confidence..."
As Sharyn continues to take her artistry in bold new directions, her upcoming Dublin headliner promises to be an unforgettable night of live music from one of the country's most captivating and inspirational talents.
Tickets to Sharyn Ward at Peadar Browns are €14 plus booking fee, and are on sale here now.
