The first batch of musical performers have been announced
The Recording Academy of America has revealed the first group of artists set to perform at the 61st annual Grammy Awards.
The announcement comes just two days after news broke Alicia Keys will host the prestigious night. It will be broadcast live on American television Sunday February 10, and is expected on RTÉ in the days following.
Nominees Cardi B, Camila Cabello, Post Malone, Shawn Mendes, Janelle Monáe, Dan + Shay and Kacey Musgraves will take the stage.
It will be Mendes' first time performing on a Grammy stage. He is nominated for Song Of The Year (‘In My Blood’) and Best Pop Vocal Album (Shawn Mendes). Janelle Monáe, another two-time nominee will perform, she has nods for Album Of The Year (Dirty Computer) and Best Music Video (‘Pynk’).

Musgraves is one of this year’s favourites to take home Album of the Year (Golden Hour). She is also up for Best Country Solo Performance (‘Butterflies’), Best Country Song (‘Space Cowboy’), and Best Country Album (Golden Hour).
Cardi B is nominated for five awards; Record of the Year for (‘I Like It’), Album of the Year and Best Rap Album for (‘Invasion of Privacy’), Best Duo/Group Performance with Maroon 5 for (‘Girls Like You’), and Best Rap Performance for (‘Be Careful’).
More performer's are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
