Chart toppers Shawn Mendes and Niall Horan have teased a collab may be in the works. A fan shared a photo of the two singers and asking "Niall will you ever give us a song with Shawn?"

Without tagging either artists, Niall Horan retweeted the photo confirming the pair would try to.

However, Shawn Mendes gave a far more enthused response revealing "We ARE going to!"

Fans were quick to back the potential collaboration sharing some of their previous videos together, including the brief cover of Mendes' track 'Mercy'.

Niall Horan has also just announced a feature on Julia Michael's upcoming album. He shared the news on Instagram saying "Julia is one of my very very good friends and ‘what a time’ is absolutely stunning . I’m very proud to be part of this and can’t wait for you guys to hear it."
