'If I Can't Have You' is out ahead of Mendes' SNL showing this weekend.
Singer and heartthrob Shawn Mendes has released new single 'If I Can't Have You' and an accompanying music video.
The moody black and white video features Mendes in a large studio as the camera follows him as he sits on a couch, plays piano, lies in bed with a romantic interest and finally makes his way to a treadmill. The song, which was co-written by Scott Harris, Teddy Geiger and Nate Mercreau, features yearning lyrics like "Is it too late to tell you that / Everything means nothing if i can't have you?," which are sure to once again capture the hearts of the Canadian singer's fans.
Mendes is currently on a world tour, and recently made a stop in Ireland at 3Arena for two shows. He teased the single, which comes ahead of his performance on Saturday Night Live this week, with several posts on social media before finally dropping it.
