The Dublin singer-songwriter has released a new track for Concern
Described in the pages of Hot Press as "perfectly sumptuous, enabling [Oye] to soar as the beguiling track builds with strings and her magnificent harmonies", 'Heaven Can't Wait' is not only a fantastic new track, it's also in aid of an extremely good cause.
Written by Dublin artist Shaz Oye, it has already picked up airplay on US satellite radio and is the centre piece of her new fund-raising initiative.
Oye, supported by 'Claiming Our Future', hopes to turn €2 contributions for the track into €2000. All proceeds will go towards Concern's work in Somalia, a country currently ravaged by famine, with a child dying from hunger there every six minutes.
There will be a performance at Dundrum Shopping Centre's Rock & Shop on Thursday November 17. Music will start at 9.30pm and listeners are asked to donate a measley ?2, for which they'll receive an exclusive track by Oye.
