The release marks the group's first LP in 10 years.
Chicago rock band Shellac have announced that their 6th studio album To All Trains, will be out on May 17 2024.
To All Trains will act as the follow up to the group's 2017 offering Dude, Incredible.
The latest LP was recorded over a the course of 5 years, with songwriting and recording taking place over a series of weekends in November 2017; October 2019; September 2021; and March 2022.
Guitarist Steve Albini, drummer Todd Trainer, and bassist Bob Weston - the trio behind Shellac, mixed To All Trains Albini’s Electrical Audio in the group's hometown of Chicago. The band also mastered the album themselves.
Accompanying today's announcement, the group also shared the album artwork, which features a photograph of Chicago's Union Station, taken by the band's bassist.

Although To All Trains marks the first album the noise rock trio released in over a decade, the group did put out The End of Radio, a 2019 compilation of previously unreleased recordings.
There has yet to be a lead single released for Shellac's upcoming May release.
