Will Kinsella is set to unleash his latest skiller single. And other stories...
Will Kinsella, the Dublin DJ and producer, has had his track ‘Kongo’ included on the compilation Rome's Gate Null Recordings put together for last month's Winter Music Conference in Miami. Along with running his successful Equinox club nights, he's prepping a slew of releases. Plus, he’ll be playing a banger of a set, no–doubt, at this year’s Life Festival! Big things to come from this producer! He’s been kind enough to offer us an exclusive mix with some unreleased originals to wet your whistles. Check it out below, and at [link]soundcloud.com/will-kinsella/will-kinsella-hotpress-april[/link] -

Derry is City Of Culture this year. Hats off to local club night Jika Jika, about to put on their biggest DJ line–up ever. How you say? Well, by laying claim to the City Of Derry Rugby Club for a day. Some 1,500 party-goers will get to indulge in an orgy of quality house and techno. Be ready for the celebrated John Digweed, taking his Bedrock brand to the city for the first time, while also playing a three–hour DJ set!
He’ll be rocking it with Germany’s, M.A.N.D.Y, from Get Physical, and Aus Records label boss Will Saul, along with Pincer Movement, Zutekh DJs and Jika Jika residents! Going down on May 4. Check [link]residentadvisor.net/event.aspx?455425[/link]
Big up to Mr. Spring, Seamus O’Muineachian, Corrugated Tunnel, Gel–Sol and Tiny Magnetic Pets, who’ve all had their music make it onto Beat Girl – an Irish feature landing in cinemas around the country, along with screens in the UK and Portugal!
Get ready, Co. Leitrim! Phase One Festival hits Carrick–On–Shannon, April 19 – 20! The goal is to explore electronic music and art through various workshops, installations, and, of course, a heap of local and international talent like Biosphere, Ulrich Schnauss, LTJ Bukem, Donal Dineen, Le Galaxie, New Jackson, PolyDroid, Eamonn Doyle, Sunken Foal, Cian Ó Coibhain, Sound Of System Breakdown, White Collar Boy, Somatix Crew, Mixile, Imploded View, and Harem Tone – to name a few! Speaking of Harem Tone, the Artist Also Known As Jay Riordan is behind the second release on Dublin label, ToneKontrol. His Love.0 EP comprises a title-track that goes deep with distorted vocals and ‘Follow Me’, which is all funky bass-lines and disco flair. The EP lands April 25. Jerome McCormick, aka Imploded View, will also be playing at the Co. Leitrim festival, being a native and all! He’s giving away a track for free [link]www.soundcloud.com/imploded-view/everything-happens[/link] download.
