Both gigs will take place in tandem on the night before the Eurovision and will be rebroadcast online during the final.
Irish Artists for Palestine have announced the lineup for the Alternative Eurovision gigs, featuring Róisín El Cherif, Sharon Shannon, and John Spillane.
The gigs will both take place on May 10 at 7.30 pm "in protest of Israel’s participation"in this year's Eurovision Song Contest, with the Galway gig being hosted at Leisureland Galway, while it's Dublin counterpart will be performed in Axis, Ballymun.
The events are hosted as an alternative to watching this year's Eurovision as they will be rebroadcast online on Saturday May 11 during the Eurovision final.
The event is hosted by Irish Palestinian Solidarity Campaign, Irish Artists for Palestine and Apartheid Free Arts and has a goal of raising €100,000.
All funds raised during the event through ticket sales and online donations will go to human rights, advocacy and aid organisations in Palestine: UNWRA, Psychosocial Counselling Centre for Women (PSCCW), Al Haq and Al Mezan and direct support to artists in Gaza.
