The collective will be coming to an end after ten years.
Dublin-based music collective Sim Simma has announced their retirement, with their 'Last Dance' taking place with at Pallas Studios in The Liberties on July 27.
The group started in 2014 as a weekly club night, focusing on playing a wide-range of genres like dancehall, reggae, grime, with a focus on music of Caribbean, Latin and African origin.

"It is with a heavy heart that we announce our retirement as a collective," the group said in a statement posted to Instagram. "We never imagined this journey would take us around the world to perform on festival stages, at boat parties and in beautiful outdoor venues."

Sim Simma drew a myriad of international musicians to their events throughout the years, including the lieks of AJ Tracey, DJ Tahira, Nadia Rose and more.
As well as working with the likes of Denise Chalia on various projects, the group notably released an official Fela Kuti remix, in collaboration with the legendary Nigerian musician's estate, in aid of the World Food Programme in 2023.
"As well as our festival commitments, we'll be wrapping things up this summer with one final dance at Pallas Studios," they continued. "This party will be for the people who've helped make Sim Simma what it is and what it means to us."
