This is the band’s first release since 2019’s 'Blue Eyed Soul'.
Simply Red have released their new single, ‘Earth In A Lonely Space,’ and announced their rescheduled tour dates.
The new single was written by bandleader and steadfast Simply Red member Mick Hucknall. The 60's inspired song was produced by Andy Wright and mixed by Gavin Goldberg at Home Studios and South West Studios.
The video for the single, directed and animated by Cine1080, was also released today, and features a spacecraft travelling through the galaxy looking for signs of life.
The British pop-soul band also had to reschedule their tour due to the pandemic, but the new dates are locked in. On February 2nd the group will play the 3Arena, Dublin and the tour will run until the 24th, where it ends in Cardiff. Mica Paris will join the band as a supporting act on the tour. Their Irish tour date was originally set for October 2020.
Hucknall said this latest tour is “for crowds to get up and move around, and everybody to put their heart into it. It’s all about capturing the groove.”
