After announcing their new album Blue Eyed Soul, Simply Red confirm a UK and Ireland tour for 2020.
2020 sees Simply Red return to the 3Arena! The legendary UK band just announced a UK and Ireland tour for next year which includes a stop at the Dublin venue on October 13.
The tour will follow almost one year after the release of their funky new album Blue Eyed Soul which will be out on November 8, 2019. "I'm looking forward to playing it live because it's real", says frontman Mick Hucknall of the upcoming record, "I want to have a good time".
Blue Eyed Soul was recorded as live with few overdubs at British Grove Studios in London. All ten tracks, including new singles 'Thinking Of You' and 'BadBootz', were written by Hucknall and produced by long-time collaborator Andy Wright. Musical reference points draw on classic funk and soul: Wilson Pickett, Dyke and the Blazers, James Brown, and the roaring horns of Tower of Power.
You can experience all the funky beats that are featured on Simply Red's new album as well as all-time classics like 'Stars' or 'Holding Back The Years' live next year. Tickets for the UK and Ireland tour go on sale on September 20 at 9am.
