Australian multi-instrumentalist, arranger, producer and vocalist Jonti is about as talented as human beings are allowed to be by law, and he's got the rolodex to prove it, with Mark Ronson, Santigold and Sean Lennon already wanting a piece of his powers. For his debut solo album, the intriguingly-titled Twirligig, Jonti remarkably shunned all the celeb attention, doing every last thing by himself. For those still not convinced, there is Sine And Moon, a free 15-tracker to celebrate his signing to Mayer Hawthorne and Dam-Funk label Stones Throw Records. An ear-pleasing mix of '60s-inspired Hawaiian grooves, playful beat-led electronica, penetrating rhymes (courtesy of LA rapper JonWayne) and spiraling glitchwork, Sine And Moon is, well… exactly the kind of record you'd expect an all-out musical genius to make.
