"...so bloody excited for this next chapter with the best family and all the new music coming VERY SOON," the artist revealed in a social media post.
Tipped as one of the Hot Press Hot For 2024 Irish Acts, Siobhán Winifred has hit yet another major career milestone – announcing today that she has signed to the UK indie label Chess Club Records.
The label's roster includes Limerick-raised artist Sinéad O'Brien, as well as Alfie Templeman, Coach Party, and more.
Growing up in an Irish family based in Dorset, the rising star has been making a name for herself through ethereal and candid songwriting. She's deservedly earned plaudits from big names in the industry, and takes inspiration from poetic songsmiths such as Rufus Wainwright, Leonard Cohen and Alex Turner. She's got an innate knack for funnelling complex human experiences into catchy indie-pop numbers, as heard on her October 2023 release, 'Killers', which has clocked up nearly 350,000 Spotify streams.
As well as making it into our 'Hot For 2024' list, Siobhán also previously performed on the Hot Press Y&E Series, back in October.
"UMMM no biggie but ur girl signed with the one and only Chess Club Records!" she wrote on social media this evening – describing it as "one hell of a pinch me moment."
