Sir Paul McCartney announces Archive Collection for solo album 'Flaming Pie'
The special edition will be available from July 31.
Sir Paul McCartney has confirmed the release of a special Archive Collection for his solo album Flaming Pie, which first dropped 23 years ago.
McCartney called his tenth studio solo album a "refresher course" in The Beatles Anthology in the 1990s.
In Flaming Pie's liner notes, McCartney said:
"The Beatles Anthology reminded me of the Beatles' standards and the standards that we reached with the songs. So in a way it was a refresher course that set the framework for this album."
Set to receive its own re-release, the Flaming Pie collection will include a limited number of Collector's editions, which will feature a remastered version of the original album plus bonus tracks and previously-unheard material.
Books, artworks and photos will also make up the collection, which marks the thirteenth instalment in McCartney's Grammy Award-winning Archive Collection.
You can pre-order Deluxe and Collector's editions here, which will be available from July 31.
