The latest offering from DJ Shadow contains some timely anti-war sentiment, as looping organic beats fall over a plaintive sampling from the old Colonel Bagshot protest song ‘Six Day War.’ In contrast to the laidback radio edit, the scratched up Mos Def remix moves things up a notch, offsetting the extremely hippyish vibe of the verse with an aggressive edge.
