We Are Not Your Kind is just after scoring the top of the charts globally, but the metal band does not seem willing to take a break any time soon!
It seems as if nothing can stop Slipknot from attempting to take the whole world by storm even more than they already have. A whole decade passed between their fourth album and the fifth - while the latter is only freshly out, the masked men now seem ready to jump back into the studio asap.
Percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan recently revealed in an interview with Loudwire that the band is soon to release 11 songs recorded back in 2008 alongside album All Hope Is Gone .
According to Corey Taylor, those outtakes have a very Radiohead type of vibe. Something different for fans to look forward to - but that isn't all!
In an interview with the official Slipknot fanclub Outside The 9, Jay Weinberg has now revealed that the band already have new material in mind, continuously immersing themselves in the creative process:
"Yes. I can say yes. We're musicians. That's what we do — we write and create music, and we've created songs that we've announced that is Slipknot's sixth album. But we're constantly in a creative mode.

So once we finish album number six, yeah, I think our attention definitely turns to, of course, touring and playing music in support of this new album that we've created and that we're really excited to share.
But just as artists who want to keep pushing forward and charting new territory and keep making art that we're really proud of, of course we're thinking about the next record. So, we'll see.
Who knows what that's gonna be like, when that's gonna be, but, yeah, we're always thinking about new music and what the next album is gonna be like."
This comes after Jay Weinberg surprised drummer fan Maren Alford, 14, by bringing her backstage before Slipknot's Knockfest show in Dallas. The youngster went viral on YouTube after posting her drum cover of 'Unsainted', which showed her very impressive skills. Check it out below:
No doubt the very talented fan had the time of her life hanging out with her drummer hero.
Slipknot fans, watch this space, as the band members have definitely more than one trick up their sleeves!
