If you missed out on securing tickets to slowthai's October 11 show, you still have a chance to see the English rapper who is taking the world by storm.
Slowthai has added another date to his stint at The Academy due to overwhelming demand.
Originally only performing at the venue on Friday, 11 October, this date was quickly sold out. An extra date has been added for Thursday, 10 October.
A cult has been gathering around slowthai, only increasing since the release of his debut studio album Nothing Great About Britain.
He’s released a steady string of releases, from the politically-charged ‘North Nights’/ ’The Bottom’ AA-side; to unpicking vulnerable and toxic masculinity on ‘Ladies’; living in the moment on ‘Polaroid’; and the stereotype-dismantling volley of ‘Drug Dealer’ and ‘Rainbow’.
He uses his voice to call out discrimination of all types from race, gender, sexuality, appearance or any other prejudice. As well as analysing class inequalities and the journey to self-worth and self-love.

He taps into sentiments of the disenfranchised youth, full of kids who have felt shafted by previous generations and are left with social unrest and pessimism.
But slowthai offers an alternative, he funnels these feeling of rage against society into a desire for change.
Slowthai promotes hope above all else as he expresses his wishes for freedom and happiness - something we can all relate to. With the words "Nothing great about Britiain" etched across his stomach, slowthai has repackaged a new form of punk to this generation.
Also becoming renowned for his live shows, he has performed from church crypts to festival stages and to the streets of New York. His energetic magnetism promises a sweat-drenched and booming atmosphere.
Slowthai's rise has just begun, and his fame and influence show no signs of stopping.
Tickets for the extra gig are priced at €20 plus a booking fee and go on sale this Friday, 21 June at 9am from Ticketmaster. Make sure to act fast as these are surely to be snapped up.
