Tickets for the hotly tipped English rapper's Academy gig go on sale this Friday at 9am.
Slowthai, tipped as one of our Hot for 2019 International Acts, is continuing his love affair with Ireland with a headline gig at Dublin's Academy on October 11. The gig comes after last year's sold-out headline show at The Workman's Club in Dublin and this April's support slot for Dave at The Olympia Theatre. The Northampton rapper also made a special surprise appearance during Mura Masa's incendiary headline slot at this year's Forbidden Fruit.
Last month saw the release of Slowthai's highly anticipated new album, Nothing Great About Britain - described by Hot Press as "imbued with menacing beats, fast-paced lyrics and a real cultural significance." Treading a line between grime, rap, dubstep and garage, his cult status has been cemented by smash-hits 'Drug Dealer', 'Gorgeous', 'Piece of Mind' and the Mura Masa collaboration 'Doorman'.
Tickets for his Academy show, priced at €20, go on sale Friday, June 14, at 9am - but you can expect them to get picked up fast. See Ticketmaster for more information.
