Hot Press derived much voyeuristic pleasure from following Gary Lightbody’s Twitter account over the weekend as he cavorted around Las Vegas with bandmate Johnny McDaid and pal Ed Sheeran, the excuse being the staging there of the Billboard Music Awards.
After playing blackjack and with, we suspect, a few shandies on them, they ran into K-Pop King Psy. The night then got really out of hand with Johnny tweeting: “Must have left my trousers in @garysnowpatrol or @edsheeran‘s room. I definitely lost them somewhere! What happened? Can someone please come and untie me? Bring shampoo please.”
With Johnny washed and re-trousered, they dropped into the Bellagio hotel to see Cirque du Soleil’s O, which Gary described as: “Unbelievable. Most incredible live show I ever saw. Now if I could just reconnect my jaw!”
They also ran into Taylor Swift whose ‘The Last Time’ smash featured both Gary and Ed.
