Alternative rock band Snow Patrol have announced outdoor shows at Virgin Media Park, Cork on June 19, and at Belsonic Belfast on June 21.
Alongside the Irish show announcement is the release of the band's new album The Forest is The Path, produced by Fraser T Smith. The twelve track LP is about the contrasting emotions of life that the band say is “the biggest sounding record we have ever made."

The Forest is The Path features Snow Patrol's new single 'Everything's Here and Nothing Lost' a song the band wrote for on a brief but pivotal writing trip to Somerset.
“It was written on the second day there,” says the band, “The first day we wrote ‘The Beginning' and the second day we wrote ‘Everything’s Here and Nothing Lost’ which are now the first and third singles from the album, so you could say it was a productive trip.”

Last summer Snow Patrol performed at Rock Werchter in Belgium before playing to 30,000 fans at a sold-out Thomond Park Stadium in Limerick. This fall, the band was featured on the cover of Hot Press.
Snow Patrol will return to play a 9 date Sold-out UK and Ireland Arena tour in February ahead of their outdoor summer shows in June.
Tickets for Cork are priced €69.90 inclusive of booking fee and go on sale at 10am this Friday.
