Snow Patrol are currently leading the chart race ahead of London Grammar and Eminem
Following the release of their new album The Forest Is The Path on Friday, Snow Patrol are currently leading the UK chart race. If they can hold onto that top spot, this Friday will see the band secure their first UK No.1 album in 18 years.
The Forest Is The Path is Snow Patrol's first album in six years, following 2018's Wildness. The new LP was produced by Fraser T Smith (Adele/Dave/Stormzy) and the band – who are now a trio, made up of Gary Lightbody, Nathan Connolly and Johnny McDaid.
"An introspective, yet also uplifting offering, The Forest Is The Path signals another rebirth from these phoenixes," Edwin McFee wrote in his review of the album for Hot Press – available to read in full here.
Snow Patrol first topped the UK charts in 2006 with Eyes Open, and over the course of their career, have scored seven Top 10 albums.

They're currently followed on the chart by London Grammar, with their fourth album, The Greatest Love. Eminem also looks set to have a strong week, with The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce) at No.3.
